Diwali was celebrated on Saturday, October 25 from 5 -8 pm. The program included Lakshmi Puja, Prasad and sparklers. A large number of families, including many children, attended the evening’s festivities.
Samoohika Lakshmi Puja was conducted by Sri. S. Venkatesa Iyengar, who is a priest at the Ashtalakshmi temple in Houston, TX. The main puja was conducted by four families, with many others participating in chanting the Ashtalakshmi Stotram.
Following the puja, children and adults went out to the parking lot to celebrate Diwali with sparklers. Prasad was then served. We thank the many attendees who signed up to bring food for Prasad. It allowed us to serve a sumptuous meal at the end of the evening.
